NKWANTA SOUTH MCE HANDS OVER 2,540 DESKS TO NKWANTA SOUTH EDUCATION DIRECTORATE

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Nkwanta South has officially handed over 2,540 desks, comprising dual, mono, and hexagonal desks, to the Nkwanta South Education Directorate for distribution to schools across the municipality.

The provision of the desks forms part of the Assembly’s efforts to improve educational infrastructure and create a conducive learning environment for students. The initiative is expected to enhance teaching and learning by ensuring that students have comfortable seating arrangements, enabling them to study with peace of mind and greater concentration.

Receiving the desks on behalf of the Directorate, the Municipal Director of Education expressed his appreciation to the Assembly for the timely intervention. He noted that the desks would significantly address furniture shortages in many schools and improve the learning conditions of students.

The Director also assured the MCE that schools benefiting from the desks would be encouraged to take proper care of them to ensure their durability and long-term use. He further expressed optimism upon learning that provisions had been made for the maintenance and repair of damaged desks, a move he believes will help sustain the initiative and prevent future shortages.

The handover underscores the commitment of the Nkwanta South Municipal Assembly to promoting quality education and supporting schools with the resources needed to enhance academic excellence and student welfare.
