SIC MD Standoff: Hollistar Duah-Yentumi sues to stay, locks office from Mahama’s appointee
The High Court of Justice in Accra is set to hear an injunction application filed by Hollistar Duah-Yentumi against SIC Insurance PLC and James Agyenim-Boateng, as tensions over leadership transition escalate.
Duah-Yentumi, the immediate past Managing Director (MD) of SIC Insurance, has reportedly refused to hand over to Agyenim-Boateng, who was appointed as Acting MD by President John Dramani Mahama on January 24, 2025.
Reports indicate that she has locked the MD’s office and withheld the keys, preventing her successor from assuming his role.
During an interview on Citi Eyewitness News on February 5, Agyenim-Boateng revealed that when he visited SIC’s headquarters to introduce himself to the management team, Duah-Yentumi declined to attend the meeting. The outgoing MD has also failed to present her handover notes, raising concerns among staff.
